Although it feels like Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced only yesterday, we're actually almost a year after its surprise reveal during the Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary event in Tokyo last April.
We got pretty lucky as not only did we find out that the game was in development but we also got our first glimpse of Sora, Donald, Goofy, and the world of Quadratum - which made its first appearance in 2019's Kingdom Hearts 3.
Despite this technically being Kingdom Hearts 4, it's actually the 14th game in the series meaning you've got between now and the sequel's release to catch up on all of the previous Kingdom Hearts games, including the three mainline games and more than 10 spin-off titles.
Don't worry too much though, as Kingdom Hearts 4 will actually mark the start of the 'The Lost Master Arc' - the next chapter of the Kingdom Hearts story - which follows on from the previous 'Dark Seeker Saga'.
