Standout Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Angie Smith is recovering from injuries sustained in a high-speed crash Saturday at World Wide Technology Raceway near St. Louis at the 12th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals.
The veteran racer from King, N.C. was came off her motorcycle after a 198 mph pass. Smith was cared for by the NHRA safety team on-site and transported to a nearby hospital. According to NHRA Smith was conscious and alert after the incident.
