Carolina Panthers rookie offensive lineman Chandler Zavala was loaded onto a board and was carted off the field in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Zavala was engaged in a block and fell straight down on his stomach. Moments ago, the team tweeted out that it was a neck injury and that Zavala will be transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Both teams came out onto the field in Detroit to show support for the injured Panther, watching in concern. Zavala did give a thumbs-up to the crowd as he was being carted off.
